March Makers’ Month – The Fibre Factory UK

Our next maker to introduce you to is Lianne of the Fibre Factory UK.  Lianne is multi talented, she can knit, spin, dye and more.  It didn’t take me long to get to know Lianne as a valued customer in the shop and after a few months of opening The Woolpatch, she was a great friend.  I’ve learned a lot about wool and knitting from Lianne and she’s even taught me to knit socks!

“As a Spinner, Yarn dyer, knitter and Fibre Processor, one of the things I’m often asked is
“How on earth did you get started with all this?” For as long as I can remember, I’ve loved fibre arts and and crafts and also to share my passions, peeves, and points of view with others around me. The Fibre Factory UK has added immense value to my life, and I love having the chance to share my passions and wonderings with my loyal readers. Explore my site, and enjoy.”

Lianne has led classes at The Woolpatch and has also supplied hand dyed yarn.  We’ve just had a big delivery from her this month (read below)  She also produces her own podcast where you can learn lots about yarn, knitting, and crochet.  All this talent just down the road from us!  We’re thrilled to have Lianne as a tutor and as an independant dyer at The Woolpatch.  Take some time to look at her work below.
