Make a lantern for the parade

We love the Long Melford Olde Christmas day.  It’s a great family day out.  There is such a lovely Christmassy feel too with snow, donkeys, reindeer, stalls, food and drink, Father Christmas and his grotto.  Not forgetting the lovely lantern parade at the end of the day which leads to the turning on of the Christmas tree lights.

We’re getting involved this year by running workshops where you can bring the litte ones along to make their lantern for the parade! It’s super easy and quick! But if they want to take longer in decorating with glitter, sparkles, felt tips etc they can! The more lanterns we make the more spectacular the parade will be during the dusk light. It will make turning on the LM Christmas tree lights even more of a sight!

Workshop costs £6 and this includes all materials to make the simple lantern.  For more details ring/email the shop.  Free Tea/Coffee for parents/supervisors too.
